Here is a new comer to the running – Zing Auto Coverage over at zingauto.com.
These guys are not heavily advertising at the moment, in fact Zing auto warranties doesn’t have a single ad on Google right now. I’m not sure if that is a good or bad thing, really.
When you start advertising, you say to the world “We are open for business”. In the case of Zing car warranty, or auto coverage as they put it, I found them on Google news through a press release they have. I have not been able to find any information on them from the BBB, or from my inside connections in the car warranty business. Zing – what’s the deal?
Zing is an independently owned and operated car warranty company. According to their site they offer bumper to bumper auto coverage and extended car warranties as well as, roadside assistance, towing, and rental services. They offer online claims forms as well as phone assistance where you get to talk to an actual live person! They also claim to help you with getting a car rental should you need due to your own car being in the repair shop. I wonder if this is truly as easy as they claim? If they are as good as they seem to be they should have some better advertising and get known to the public!

I have contacted this car warranty company and was satisfied with both their service and prices.
I have recently applied for zing, my quote is for $1259.83 for the whole package. It covers my car for 3 years and or 120,000 miles. The amount they are asking for, is unbeliveable and a liitle frightening ZING may be a scam, and these fools has my checking account info. I am very dissapointed in myself for not looking into this warrenty company a LOT more.
You can speak to a live person when you call zing…unfortunately it will be the same person each time. I believe they have a grand total of 3 people in their “corporate” company. They don’t show up on google because they are new. No complaints because they have not had any claims yet. They offer warranties that cover twice the amount of your “policy”. So for chichi’s quote of $1259.83, hope you don’t have a claim of over $2519.66, or you will be out of luck. A couple of claims from Zing’s limited customer base and they will be done, if they pay for the claims at all. More than likely they will keep putting off claims and just hope to keep their customers coming in. Wouldn’t a customer be better off just putting this money into a savings account, if they will be limited to twice the policy on a break down? What will $2519.66 cover? You got a 3 year and/or 120k mileage warranty…really? Better read that “policy”.
Chichi I don’t know what type of car you have but if you think 3years/120k is pricey at 1259 you are a moron a complete moron that is all.
After hours of searching the web for a warranty, I found Zing. The only info this company has is on its website- THATS IT! No info on the bbb, even though its top rated at A-. No reviews NOTHING! Maybe it because they r a new company. Is that a good thing? They r giving me a BUMPER to BUMBER at $1555!! HOW? The next closest price was from its competitore was from Direct warranty also with an A grade, been in business for 30+ years for $2400!! HOW?!?!
BEWARE!!! I bought from Zing, they had a low price (1400 for my Rover) but I read the fine print when I got the plan (they wouldn’t show me a contract up front) When I read it, the Maximum they will pay in claims for the life of the plan is 2 Times what you pay ie: I paid 1400 x 2 = 2800 Maximum claims for the lifetime. That was CRAZY, Also, I found they have NO INSURANCE backing, so if they go away tomorrow, I am left with NOTHING! and if all that wasn’t bad enough, their contract also states they can sell your personal info to other marketing companies! Needless to say I canceled! That too was a horrific experience, I had to stop payment on my credit card!
If they have NO BBB rating and you can not find out about them, then this is not the place for you! Make sure you get a contract to review BEFORE you buy and doing a BBB search is VERY important and goes a long way….
Is there any good and trust worthy extended warranty out there?
Zing sucks if they call you hang up the phone and change your number. I have had them for over a month and my water pump went out and they denied my claim only to say that is not enough time for a water pump to go? Does anyone’s water pump have an expiration date on it? That’s not the clicher, they told me if the cover my water pump they will have to cancel my policy! Really? I thought that was the reason for the policy!!!!

WAS INTERESTED IN ZING GOT A E-MAIL TELLING ME MY APPLICATION WOULD BE CLOSED FOREVER LEAVING ME WITH NO COVERAGE,IF I DIDN’T RESPOND WITHIN 12 HOURS, AFTER READING THE POST I AM GOING TO LET THEM CLOSE IT, AN CONTACT ZIGLER.
This is the worst Company EVER!!! They will tell you that they will cover you bumper to bumper, but when you have a problem, they tell you that it has to be completely broken for them to fix it! SCAMERS!!!
Ok about this Zing coverage. I heard the owners got a credit card and if they have a claim that they want to pay, they just pay on their personal credit card. They are not insured, nothing! Just a few guys that figured they could make money selling their “coverage”!! Can they do that? Is that legal? Don’t you have to be licensed or a real company to offer this?
I’m very disapointed; they only exploit people out of their hard earned money, like a fool I paid them $1,500.00 just for them to deny my claim for car repairs and lie about refunding my money….They never return the phone calls once they have your money….May they burn in hell soaked in gasoline clothes…

they have not returned phone calls, faxes, etc just when they get around to it for over a month now. My car is still not repaired correctly. Jason and Cody seem to be the only people at Zing I can get so I think they are the only employees. These people lie to their customers and to the repair shops. I have lost a lot of business while trying to get them to pay for my car to be repaired correctly. I plan a lawsuit. I am a single senior citizen and they have walked/stomped on me and don’t even apologize. Volvo held my car hostage because Zing waited for days to pay them. I picked up my car on Friday and 12 miles away, the check engine light came on again…this is the second garage they had me take it to but would not approve the NECESSARY repairs so I am back to square one. I will not let them get away with this…
Learning the facts the hard way of the real meaning of Zing contract. Car sat in repair shop for several days. Zing policy says will provide rental car. Not given, because it is only the actual hours of warrenty labor must equal one day for the rental car is available…not waiting for parts to come in for repairs. Next repair time….Zing Salesperson said and contract says $100.00 deductable per time in shop – not true…it is by each line item. Of course, you are told after your car is in the shop and you cannot get it back until you pay for every item. After talking to claims representative my understanding is if your car has any problems like your dome light not work, then you have to go into shop and get it fixed immediately, because they are not going to let the Zing customer have a bunch of things wrong and then go to the shop and get it fixed., so from my experience, the actually policy in reality is a $100.00 charge for every line item for repair. Also problem with the dealership FAXs being received by Zing..They mysteriously get lost or the problem with the car is not on the FAX…hard time getting to talk to claims…have to leave numerous messages. Still waiting for call from supervisor about single line item of $100.00 each Too bad this company like so many other companies in America forgot the meaning of integrity, good customer service. Hopefully Zing will resolve these issues with me.
I made a service call for roadside assistance and was suprised to get a quick response. However, I have been trying to talk to someone in customer service for two days now. You get an answering service that takes your message and promises to escalate your phone call to the next available representative for a return call due to the high volume of phone calls they are so called experiencing. I have paid for this service in and used them before for repairs but I am now very worried that my car is in a repair shop and you can’t even speak to someone from this company.They did not have to wait for my money when I acquired their warranty so why should I be going through all this aggravation for service. If the customers can’t speak to someone will the repair shop be able to?
Anyone looking for a warranty service will have to be out of their mind to even consider ZING.
Zing is not responding to the repair shop or the policy holder. I think these guys are out of business and they walk away with everyone monies

THEY SENT ME AN E-MAIL SAYING THEY WILL REFUND MY PREMIUMS ON A PRO-RATE BASIS.

Beware of this fraudulant company. They took my money and, right after I submitted my first claim, informed me that they were unable to honor my policy as they were being prevented from doing business in my state. Like it was the state’s fault. I was given the same bull as the writer, that they were cancelling contracts on a “pro-rata” basis. I’m not holding my breath waiting for the refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS RIP-OFF OUTFIT.
I’ve complained to several organizations about Zing including the BBB (waste of time), Texas Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. If I had the money I’d go to a lawyer.
There seems to be less and less ordinary people can do against these companies.
We have 2 cars on the warrenty. And they have not paid claims to the dealership. Does anyone know how to contact them? Their physical address listed with the BBB is phony. It has never existed – a UPS store is there. I just need to be able to stop the automatic drafts out of my bank account. My bank cannot find a working contact number. Our car has sat in the dealership service department for 8 days and no response from Zing Auto.
hi zing took my money from the bank ,and now are gone .I called the A G OF Texas but no call back.
I do believe I have been scamed by these guys. I am a grown individual and have to take responsibility for my stupid mistakes. My vehicle is in the shop and I know the repiar costs will have to come out of my pocket as I have tried to contact these guys only to get noone on the other end.
I feel they should be hanged at high noon but being a peace loving gent I can only pray they fall into a pit of shit up to thier necks where they die an awful death.
