Here is a trend I see coming, as evidenced by Service Protection Advisors (www.serviceprotectionadvisors.com); Automobile Repair Insurance. That is what they term the extended warranty they are selling. It makes sense – like we always tell people, an extended warranty for your car is just as important as car insurance in many ways. It protects you from huge costs as a lump sum when something goes wrong with your automobile.
This company does indeed offer powertrain care, which most auto warranty companies seem to do these days. A powertrain warranty must be carefully looked at to make sure that what is included is really what’s important. Read more about power train warranties in our FAQ section.

On a side note, we are taking every opportunity to let people know that soon all extended warranties for used vehicles will be known as Auto Service Contracts or Agreements. Hopefully this will push aside any confusion a few months down the line, when people are looking for auto warranties but can only find service contracts for vehicles!
