Boy, am I glad I did some back work on this website to check this company out. I first was introduced to this Nationwide Company on Sirius Radio and their commercial sounded great and I felt this is what I was looking for for added protection to my old vehicle. So I pulled my car over and called them. The rep on the phone named Jason Linville, advised what I needed to get started and that I would receive coverage with no problem. I questioned him on this because of the age of mt car most companies would not touch it especially here in California. Jason claims no problem, it would cost me $295 upfront and my policy would be in effect in 90 days. OK I said. He started to pressure for money to get started and I advised him that I would net to see some more info and do some research. I went to the website and they claim they have been offering coverage since the 1980's. However if you go to http://www.bbb.org/stlouis/business-reviews/auto-service-contract-companies/warranty-activation-headquarters-in-saint-louis-mo-310016885 the BBB will tell a different tale. And if you go here at http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/carefreedriving.com this will tell you that this company hides there contact information but when this website was created. So in my opinion there is a spiderweb of deception here. I decided to take the RED pill and get the hell out of this rabbit hole. Please do your research before giving out your credit card number. You will be able to sleep better, I promise. Good Luck and hope this information helps.

Terrible,Terrible terrible!!! DON'T BUY THEIR COVERAGE FOR ANY VEHICLE...EVEN IF YOUR CAR IS A LEMON!
First of all, I recently purchased the premier coverage for my Infiniti M35x and they were very quick with deducting the down payment from my checking's account. About a few weeks later, I received my information packet along with a coverage card. A few days later,I had an emergency and remembered that I had roadside assistance. I called the roadside assistance number and my call was answered with a recording stating that someone would be with me shortly! I WAITED OVER THIRTY MINUTES!!!!!((So much for having an emergency)) Once I spoke with the Representative, she couldn't even find me in their system. I asked her to call Nationwide Auto Protection to verify my account. When the REP came back on the phone, she told me that I wasn't covered and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I called Nationwide to see If I was paying for roadside assistance. They indeed told me that I was paying for the roadside assistance services. I told him that I didn't have any problems with the coverage policy, but I was indeed unsatisfied with the roadside assistance company because when people have an emergency, they shouldn't have to wait on hold for more than 20 minutes to speak with a representative. A Supervisor(Mike Simms) was very unprofessional and facetious by saying, "Maybe its the weekend, thats why there busy". I then told him that It could be the weekend when I need assistance and it could be an emergency. That's when Mr.Simms said that If it is an emergency, then I should call 911! I then realized that I don't need to deal with a company that doesn't satisfy the customer and want to argue circumstance. I then requested him to cancel my policy. Shortly afterward, my policy salesman (Richard Walton) called me and also became very sarcastic as well, after I told him that I wanted to cancel my policy. He told me that the only way that I could cancel my policy was if I wrote them and demanded them to cancel my policy. This company just gives people the run around for their money!!! STAY AWAY! I Wish I would have read the reviews myself before making this purchase!

I have actually purchased two service contracts from Nationwide and have been thoroughly please with both plans. I have also just learned that they recently got nationally certified so the company is not a scamming company, but one that does want help. I do recommend this company to everyone and all you previous customers that are saying Nationwide Automotive Protection is a scam is wrong.

I am so happy I looked at this. I just talked with a supervisor John and went through the very same thing with price reductions and down payment. I stated I needed to chat with my husband and they stated there was a 30 day cancelation policy. They also told me things that it covered and Air conditioning was included. I have concluded that without a policy in front of me to look at, this is not a good idea.

Thanks so much !!!

Nothing was covered except a cheap thermostat.

All of my major repair needs were not covered.

I cancelled the policy and no refund.

A total waste.

Out of pocket thousands.......coverage $70

I purchased the warranty from Nationwide, I messed up and did not do any research, after I received the contract, I noticed that the Finance Co. was Mepco, on March 30th my last day of the 30 days cancellation, I called Nationwide I told them I wanted to cancel, what a Circle Jerk I went throough with this Rep. Telling me that they belong to BBB and only 3 complaints which was settled. Then I found out that they were under the umbrella of CareFreeDriving.com which had numerous accounts I was told they Nationwide was fairly new and were not part of CarefreeDriving, now I'm getting late notices that I wass late on the payment, than on the second Notice I was to send payments to Marathon Finance comp. No phone number I called Mepco and told them that I cancelled the policy, and they told me I would have to call Nationwide, inwhich I told them I did, but they were just the finance company, and they have not received a cancellation.
The sales people that handle the cancellation were rude and kept on talking for 20 minutes trying to not let me cancel. I sent a registered mail to Mepco no response, but they signed for it. I recommend anyone to do research on this Co. before purchasing I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE TO ANYONE, I had to hire a lawyer They are writing a complaint to the Attorney Gen in Illinois, and in Arizona, thank you, for any help you may be able to guide me.
