Hi, i just came across this article and wanted to let you know that Directbuy Warranty has been around for a long time. It’s been over 15 years now that i have been selling their policies for my used vehicles here in Texas and still do currently. DBW are the only auto warranties ill sell. My customer were complaining too much about the other companies.

Directbuy Warranty is by far in my books a #1 company. ive been with them for a little more than 3 years now, i actually just renewed my policy back in november last year. the only issue have had was timing belt problem that i had not changed according to the manufacturers time line for the vehicle but otherwise i have had no issue. they are fast on response time and they follow up with me on everything. the best part about the warranty is there warranty card. i take the car to my car give him the card and they take it from there. if you want a no hassle, legitimate auto warranty then go with directbuy warranty.

There a good company. I have been with them for a while and have not had a problem so far. I also reccomend it to all my friends!

Direct Buy totally gave me the run around. I was on the phone for nearly 40 minutes, and then found out that to get a warranty for my car (1994 Taurus) would be so much that I could buy a new Taurus almost! In terms of an extended warranty review – I give 2 (the customer service gal was real nice, saving Direct Buy from a 1)!

I purchased my 2006 civic from a used car dealership and it they provided me with a directbuy warranty they informed me that they were dealing with them for 9 years 4 months later my powersteering went out -gotta say directbuy warranty took care of me in a flash out of town and no cash they had me back on the road in just a few hrs gotta say thanks for the friendly service and help

I just recently signed up with Dirctbuy warranty but not under the the promotion you mentioned, i signed up under there myfreeyear promotion. That promotion automatically upgrades any 2 year plan purchased to a 3 year plan at no additional cost. I did see protectme30 a couple of weeks ago when i started shopping around but this is a much better deal and save me more money on the plan. You should post that promotion so people have the ability to sign up with a working promotion.

Something to chew on. Most companies are set up through bill payment companies to be able to accept monthly payments. This company does not. This is odd and unsettling. And let’s face it. If we could cough up $3,000+ in one lump sum, why get a warranty at all and just pay repairs here and there. The money in the bank draws interest. A lump sum paid in full to this company does not.

i had Directbuy Warranty for 6 months now and last week i put in a claim for my engine. The mechanic said that the gasket blew in my 04 Escalade and had about 48,000 miles on it, causing the engine needing to be replaced. Now of course im worried because if they do not cover it im gonna have to pay out of pocket. Directbuy warranty approved my claim within 24 hours after getting the info from the mechanic. Not only has Directbuy Warranty been so good i added my wife and mothers vehicles with Directbuy Warranty. I’m looking to buy extended warranty for my car and directbuywarranty has the best prices by far. But I’m a bit wary about this company as the price is almost too good and there isn’t much info available about them (apart from this website). The +ve comments here reek of self-promotion by their employees. Is there any other info available about this company like how long it has been in business, how is it insured etc. Their website doesn’t provide any such info which would instill confidence. But I would hate to pay extra to other more well-known providers, if DBW is really legit.

The BBB would more “approve” DirectBuy rather than be affiliated with them. DirectBuy is a DBA (Doing Business As) I believe, and the actual corporation name of the auto warranty company is what you should search for on the BBB. Any DirectBuy people wish to address this – US Fidelis has began defending themselves on the US Fidelis Warranty Review page.

Yes I would like to see some posts from DirectBuyWarranty people as the info available about them (good or bad) on the internet is next to nothing. The DBW website does not mention any parent company or how long they have been in business or any kind of accreditation.

I am glad that someone is addressing this!! i too am looking for a warranty as i just paid off my car and I think it is worth it to get an after market warranty. As we all know the bad karma that happens when you make your last payment on a vehicle! LOL I am very confused about which company to go with especially with the major uptick and frequency of ads that have been shown up in the last few months with Mogi, Us fidelis and others. i swear every other commercial I see is an extended car warranty!! has anyone else noticed this?? My internet search really is not coming up with much and I would love to get some REAL feedback from actual consumers on who they trust the most..even if you have an issue or two with company. I think that lends to credibility because no company is perfect. I wonder who Progressive or All state would recommend?? Or can they??

I came across this site looking auto warranty reviews and saw directbuy warranty has a high rating here. Im still shopping so no i dont have directbuy warranty but would like to answer michelle question about them being on the BBB. i did not check BBB so i would not know if they are there but i would know that i do see companies like aaautowarranty.com and usdirectprotect.com ect who all have BBB ratings yet when i search them in google they have more customer complaints then they can handle, so after seeing that i for one cannot base my judgement on the BBB ratings. Just to let everyone here know in order to have BBB ratings you must pay them and by doing that they will give you accreditation but for example AAautoWarranty.com there accreditation does not mean anything if they have complaints about them from actual customers posting on the internet. i would rather take complaintsboard.com opinion then the BBB. Which by the way i did not see any complaints about directbuywarranty.com or directbuyautowarranty.com any where on the internet. All i am saying is keep in mind just b/c the BBB says the company is good does not mean anything if they have complaints all over the internet. Thank you for your time. I recently purchased a DirectBuy auto warranty for my vehicle. Shortly thereafter, my transmission started slipping and I carried the vehicle into the shop where they informed me the transmission was failing.

DirectBuy has done everything in it’s power to deny paying this claim. I caution you to be very suspicious of doing business with this company as they appear to be totally bogus so far. If they modify their path and pay this valid claim then I will change my opinion somewhat but at this time my advise is they’re bogus, beware, problems and AVOID

I have nothing but good service from direct buy warranty. they are fast and reliable. there representatives are very knowledgeable in this industry. My mechanic recommended them to me. he gets a lot of customers with auto warranties and the one he sees the most approvals from is “direct buy warranty” but what really sold me are their low rates and the no rate increase. They offer no rate increase policies so when you renew you do not pay more just the same price you paid when you signed up. last thing that i think consumers looking for a new auto warranty should know, most companies you will call broker direct buy warranties policy and sell it at a much higher rate, i know this b/c most of the companies i called and got quotes from told me there administrator is direct buy warranty and they just broker direct buy warranties policy. thats definitely a good thing to know for the future.

This is stated in the terms and condition. Does this mean that all repairs has to come out of pocket and the company will reimburse?
