Apparently, the auto warranty company Warranty Gold has some REAL BIG problems! Here’s a quick run down of what’s happened:

“National Warranty Insurance Risk Retention Group (“National Warranty”) was the administrator and insurer of Warranty Gold’s extended vehicle service contracts (“VSCs”). National Warranty is being liquidated in legal proceedings currently pending in the Cayman Islands. National Warranty was responsible for paying claims of Warranty Gold customers from monies deposited by Warranty Gold on behalf of its customers and potentially from other resources (including insurance proceeds). National Warranty’s insolvency has affected a reported one million consumers and numerous other extended service contract providers, such as Warranty Gold.”

Ladies and gentlemen, do not buy an auto warranty from a company located in the Cayman Islands. Don’t buy anything from someone over there, except for maybe a coconut! (I’m sure I’ll be flamed for my lack of knowledge on that island’s exports…)

Auto warranty companies like this are the ones you want to avoid. If you are comparison shopping right now, you might want to consider Warranty Gold as, well, not the best option.

I really hope that people looking to buy an auto warranty with this company will first find this page. Now, you might be thinking “Well from what I read it sounds like they are not selling warranties any more.”

Well, of course in a moral and ethical business world, they wouldn’t! But I’ve seen a lot of companies sell contracts up to the DAY of being evicted from their premises. People, some of these auto warranty companies are just plain awful!

We, the staff of AWR, try to simply inform the world about auto warranty scams and the like. Apparently, we didn’t crack open the Warranty Gold case until it was too late.

Have you been a victim of Warranty Gold? Let us know your story!

This company is shut down – when you call the sales office of Auto One Warranty they say “We regret to inform you the office is now shut down.” Has any one still got a warranty with these Auto One? Are they honoring it? They say they are, but I HIGHLY doubt it. You call the number on the site, it tells you to call another number for claim service, which then tells you to call your provider… an infinite loop of SCAM! Watch out for these guys – they’ll be back under a different name and we’ll find them and expose them when they resurface.

Information and offers from CARCHEX will be exclusive featured on KBB’s site http://www.kbb.com/ along with news, reviews and price guides on used and brand new cars in the market.

In the past, CARCHEX has earned recommendations from Lending TREE, CARFAX and CarBuyingTips.com. It has also received endorsements from Automobile TV programs and host mechanics like Pat Goss for its reputable services.

Kelly Blue Book’s recognition underlines CARCHEX’s credibility for providing a financial cushion to car owners who would incur repair expenses past their automobile’s warranty coverage. Quoting CARCHEX CEO Jason Goldsmith, “Given the importance of vehicle protection during tough economic times, we are very proud of the direction we are heading in, especially when aligned with one of the most-recognizable and well-respected brands in the business.

EDITORS NOTE (08/30/2011): Mr. Car Warranty is, obviously, now advertising their service on our site. We think they offer a great service, and we’re pleased to let them use our reviews as part of their research.

Here is another service that will assist you with a live rep, and help you find the best car warranty for your needs from among several auto warranty companies. The service is pretty good – I had Shelly help me out.

After a fairly intensive search I led her on for my hypothetical BMW 540i, I let her know I was simply reviewing the service. She was able to answer a few question that you should always ask when buying a warranty – check out our article in the news section on this topic. All these companies like e-surance and Mr Car Warranty now a days with their cartoon people! I love it, brings some fun to the web. I’ll have to see if Mr. Car Warranty is associated with e-surance, as of now, I think they just have similar branding.

All in all, a good place that will spend some time with you to answer questions, provide multiple options, etc…

What do you think? Have you dealt with Mr. Car Warranty? Do you like their television commercials? Let us know!

If it wasn’t for the fact that I was doing some research on different car warranty companies I probably would have left the website within the first five seconds. That being said, once I did get into this car warranty company’s site I was able to find some valuable information. They offered a variety of packages with details about what they covered; they also displayed a general idea of prices for different parts and labor, but not for specific makes and models of vehicles. One thing I wish this car warranty company offered on their site was a general overview of car repairs they did not cover, or what are some exceptions to coverage? I did not see any badge for the Better Business Bureau so I’m not too sure about their history of complaints and customer service.
Currently there are not any reviews relating to this extended car warranty company. We would love to hear what you have to say about your experience with Certified Car Care!

However, when cruising their site I could gather absolutely no information about what they offer or about extended car warranties in general. Basically, if you want information about Nation Warranty Corporation you can choose to click on one of three buttons on their website: Experience Live Chat, Get a Free Quote, or Call Us Today. I personally would like the option to cruise through a car warranty site and gather as much information about the company and what they offer before I call; that way I feel armed with information. I would like to know what different types of service plans they offer as well as a general price range. My comfort level with a car warranty company also goes up when I have the opportunity to research the type of repair and car maintenance coverage they offer. I do have to say that the landing page of their website looks very nice and bold.

We currently do not have any reviews for this extended auto warranty company as of yet. Do you have an experience with this car warranty company; if so please share below.

When you are about take on the hard task of researching car warranty companies there are many factors you should keep in mind:

Not all car warranty companies offer the same services

Not all cars are eligible for an extended car warranty

Car warranty reviews offer really great insight to what the car warranty company is all about.

Find a car warranty website that offers car warranty ratings and reviews from multiple companies.

Some other things you should research before you even start looking at car warranty companies are the common repairs and malfunctions you might anticipate your car having in the future. If there is a common problem with your car model, it may not be covered in the car warranty. Also, even though price is always a factor when researching products and services, you should compare more than the price when it comes to a car warranty. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. In order to cut back the cost of the car warranty certain repairs may not be covered by the car warranty. Not all car warranty companies are the same, far from.

The best way to determine if the customer service is of the quality you deserve is by reading car warranty reviews and ratings. If a car warranty company gets several bad reviews, then something may be up and they may have a scamming problem on their hands. This may call for more intense investigation using the Better Business Bureau website. Sometimes it serves best to just call a service and get set up with the best car warranty company that suites your needs.

Buy the best used car warranty
How do you know that you are investing your time and money into the best used car warranty available for your car? One tactic that more and more people are relying on to determine if the product they are about to purchase is worth their time and money is reading auto warranty reviews or car warranty reviews on websites and in magazines. People are finding that word of mouth from others that have used the product they are interested in buying is the best form of information available. If an auto warranty company has terrible reviews about their service and product are you going to invest in them and risk getting ripped off?

Car Warranty Reviews
There are many auto warranty review websites available when using the internet to do research. Some of these websites only publish a select few car warranty companies and have a limited amount of car warranty reviews available to the reader. Other auto warranty reviews sites have a much broader selection of car warranty reviews and companies available for research. There are many obscure auto warranty companies out there that offer aftermarket car warranties and they are great companies to go with because of there customer service and car, but they are not as well known due to poor advertising.

If you are looking for the best used car warranty you should do the following:

Find an auto warranty website with a large variety of car warranty companies

Read car warranty reviews left by consumers

Read the fine print in the different used car warranties; lots of things may not be covered under the warranty purchased.

Ask questions on an automotive warranty review site; somebody will respond!

Here is something that I’ve thought about quite a bit – custom cars and auto warranties. The Saleen Mustang has always been a fine example of a custom car that a major company makes. Steve Saleen made the first Saleen Mustang, and apparently sold the right s to the Saleen name to a new company. Well that new company has had some problems issuing valid auto warranties for the hot rod they make.

Here is a brief clip from the article: It’s been an up and down week for Saleen Performance Vehicles, the newly formed company owned by MJ Acquisitions. Just last week Saleen just launched the 435S, their first model based on the 2010 Mustang, but only days before they were slapped with a lawsuit filed by Steve Saleen demanding that they stop using the Saleen name.

While Mr. Saleen claims the lawsuit was filed to “protect the name, reputation and brand value of Steve Saleen”, Saleen Performance Vehicles claim they have every right to use the name after purchasing assets from Saleen, Inc. including the “Saleen brand for superchargers, aftermarket parts and high performance vehicles.” Despite the lawsuit, SPV plans to continue developing its lineup of performance Mustangs, and should launch a second vehicle some time in the fall.
Yep, US Fidelis the auto warranty company known for their lame commercials, is in the news again. For an awful reason. Again. I guess a BMW logo would have been a more appropriate picture, since they are suin US Fidelis, but when I found this sweet 6 series, I knew I had to use this pic.

US FIdelis just can’t keep their nose clean! All it takes is a quick search of the company name to several complaints about them. Below is an excerpt from a Biz Journal article about BMW suing US Fidelis for deceptively marketing to BMW owners. I mean really, get a life guys! US Fidelis really has to pull their name out of the slums in order to get things back on track. Ugh, with so many competitors out there offering auto warranties, if they don’t do something to change people’s idea of them, they are going to be gone soon.

BMW sued U.S. Fidelis last week alleging that the Wentzville auto warranty company used the carmaker’s name to mislead customers into thinking the two businesses were affiliated.

U.S. Fidelis sent mailers that said “BMW Notification” and told consumers that their warranty coverage had expired, the lawsuit alleges.

The lawsuit alleges trademark infringement, unfair competition and false advertising.

Many BMW owners have complained about U.S. Fidelis using the automaker’s name, said Jan Ehlen, a BMW spokesman.

U.S. Fidelis Chief Executive Chris Riley declined to comment on the litigation in a statement provided to the Business Journal on Wednesday but he did address the company’s sales practices in general.

Here is a new comer to the running – Zing Auto Coverage over at zingauto.com.

These guys are not heavily advertising at the moment, in fact Zing auto warranties doesn’t have a single ad on Google right now. I’m not sure if that is a good or bad thing, really.

When you start advertising, you say to the world “We are open for business”. In the case of Zing car warranty, or auto coverage as they put it, I found them on Google news through a press release they have. I have not been able to find any information on them from the BBB, or from my inside connections in the car warranty business. Zing – what’s the deal?

Zing is an independently owned and operated car warranty company. According to their site they offer bumper to bumper auto coverage and extended car warranties as well as, roadside assistance, towing, and rental services. They offer online claims forms as well as phone assistance where you get to talk to an actual live person! They also claim to help you with getting a car rental should you need due to your own car being in the repair shop. I wonder if this is truly as easy as they claim? If they are as good as they seem to be they should have some better advertising and get known to the public!

Has anyone here used Zing for auto repair coverage? If you have used Zing to get an estimate – please leave us a comment below to let us know how Zing’s prices compare with other auto warranty companies.

That is a question that I hear all the time when someone is looking at auto warranties.

So, I decided to come up with a chart that clearly shows what you get from a certain auto maker. To find out what sort of auto warranty is included in the purchase of your new vehicle, just find the maker of your vehicle in the chart below. To get a car warranty quote, just click on the name of the auto manufacturer.
Here is a newcomer to the scene. Nationwide Automotive Protection is a car warranty broker that offers varying levels of service for your vehicle.

If you are in need of an auto warranty, you have several choices. Nationwide, which runs on the domain name CareFreeDriving.com – looks to be in good standing from the initial research that we conducted on them. Often times a car warranty company will simply be a DBA for an umbrella corporation behind them.

It is that parent corporation, or umbrella corp, that might have some motions or complaints against them. When choosing a car warranty provider, make sure to do your research and see if that auto warranty company is indeed who you think they are!

They offer four different extended auto warranty packages that cover things from engine repair to general maintenance and car repair. They offer a transfer of service if you are still covered and buy a different car or you can choose how much you want your deductible to be. Their site seems upfront with information and easy to navigate. Unfortunately I have yet to read a positive review on this company; seems as though people have a difficult time getting their money back on canceled policies, or repairs they were told would be covered end up not being covered. They also have a complaint on Ripoff Report, not good in my book.

Have you worked with CareFreeDriving.com – Nationwide Automotive Protection Warranty, or have you got a car warranty from them? Let us know the inside scoop by leaving a comment below!

Here is a good article about those harassing phone calls from car warranty companies. By the way, those tactics are now completely illegal, so make sure and report any automotive company using them.

By Herb Weisbaum
msnbc.com contributor

One of the most obnoxious and deceptive marketing campaigns I have ever seen is taking place right now. It uses postcards, letters, and phone calls to sell outrageously priced extended warranties.

The mailings look like an important notice from your car dealer or automaker. There is always an eye-catching warning on the front of the card, such as: “Final Notice: Expiring Auto Warranty.”

We try to call each auto warranty company in order to see how their customer service is, get a quote from them, and really see what they are all about. Let me tell you my experience with the customer service over at Warranties4wheels.com.

I was discussing auto warranties with a lady customer service representative from warranties 4 wheels for maybe 2 minutes, when her cell phone rang. She said in a lazy voice “Hold on a sec” and answered her phone!

I WAS ON HOLD FOR TEN MINUTES BEFORE HANGING UP

The website of warranties4wheels.com is, well, insane. It does not reflect the qualities that one might expect in a company website that is serious about doing business. One word – SpineCrank. OK, maybe that is 2 words. Warranties 4 wheels has a picture of a skull that has been stabbed by a sword, and then grew wings with the phrase “SkullCrank” below it. Uh, OK. I wouldn’t see something like that on a reputable auto warranty companies website like Automotive Warranites US would I? NO WAY!

So, maybe I am being hard on them, but come on! What do our readers think? Let us know your experience with warranties 4 wheels below!

Readers, there are a lot of companies out there offering auto warranties. I will leave it up to you to decide which should get your business.

OK, these guys are basically just a lead generator for another larger company that I am trying to track down now. Maybe I should start putting these sort of companies in a different category?

Their website is very minimalist with virtually no information available; in fact two of their pages are contact forms so they can get your information. I’m not sure if this company will lead you to the honest car warranty companies or not; just read about some of the auto warranty companies on the market, scary! If you’re not sure about researching on your own and you want a great starting point you should look into Mr. Car Warranty or Automotive Warranties US.

It seems that a lot of these auto warranty websites are actually just smaller satellite sites for larger companies. I would leave this one alone! If you are looking for an auto warranty quote – just use the red form on the right hand side of our site. You’ll get a call back in just minutes and be able to speak to a rep about an extended auto warranty. Or call 877.298.0064
and we’ll help you find the plan that is right for you.

But I could be wrong about autowarrantyshopper.com – if they are a legitimate auto warranty company, someone please let me know!

Can auto warranties be returned, or is it a one way street!

Good question! Many times people tell me that they feel pressured into buying an auto warranty for a used automobile when at the used car dealers lot. Now, this is just what people have said and I am only reporting the facts!

The process for this question coming about is usually pretty much the same. They decide on a used car, find the right one at an auto dealership, and buy the car. In the process of buying the vehicle, they are told about all the incredible benefits that an auto warranty will provide for you – giving you the same level of security that a new car buyer may have due to their auto warranty. So the person buys…and then they go home and begin to research auto warranties.

Well, it probably would have been better to do the research before hand, as what you would have found is that auto warranties are usually much cheaper and offer more protection when bought online. So, they start to think, “Gosh, how can I get out of this crummy auto service contract (or auto warranty) that I just bought from my dealer?”

Well, the answer is slightly complex due to state laws being different all around the country. In many states, you have up to 72 hours to cancel an auto warranty contract of this sort. So if you have just bought your warranty and you are having second thoughts – get over to that dealer and cancel immediately! If you wait more than 72 hours, you will probably be out of luck!

If you want to find out what a warranty should cost for your vehicle – just use the form on the right hand side or call 877.298.0064

With all of the mounting pressure from the Federal Government to get with the program – GM is scrambling to keep consumers happy and purchasing their products. But a huge question that sits in any new car buyers mind is: Will my new auto warranty be voided if GM fails?

In the research that I have done one this topic, it seems to be summed up like this. When a car company such as GM creates an auto warranty, they are creating a legal and binding agreement or contract between themselves and the new car buyer. So if you buy an auto warranty now from them, or get one free with your vehicle which is much more standard, GM has a legal obligation to pay for the car repair bills you accumulate.

With this legally binding contract, the auto warranty, the company is obligated to make good on it’s promise of service. If GM went completly out of business, and no one took them over (AKA the Federal Government), then that would be a whole separate issue. But, if another company bought GM or the Feds decided to run it, which they pretty much are now any way it seems, then that new entiity would have to pay for your car repair bills by way of the auto warranty you bouht at the time the car was purchased.

So, it could really go either way! Here is an interesting discussion I found about the topic on Yahoo Answers.

In doing research for Automotive Warranty Review, I came across a lot of information about Agape Auto Warranties. If you type in their company name online the BBB review comes up and they only have had three complaints against them. I did a little browsing on their website and was not too impressed with the navigation or information presented, but on the other hand I have not heard anything negative so far with this company.

Now, I am not really sure of the set up that Agape has at this moment. The big question is, have they set up their own warranty company, or do they just get leads and pass them on? I’m not sure. The quote on the home page is what they want each customer to fill out – but the quote form for Agape is so long it must take users at least 20 minutes to fill out!

On the other end of the spectrum – you can use the form we provide on the right that is ust 3 questions! Or you can call 877.298.0064

Anyone reading this have experience with Agape Auto Warranties? Let us know what you think! One thing that Agape offers that I really respect is a special discount for military, law enforcement and firefighters. These guys do a lot for our country and towns, and Agape Auto Warranties has the right idea in my book by offering them discounts.

I can hear it now…”What about nurses, teachers, and all the others that make our world better”? Nope, sorry guys. Over at Agape, you are paying full price!

One last point to mention about Agape is the “Mirrored Factory Extended Coverage” plan. This auto service contract appears to be set up to work exactly like a manufacturers warranty. So if you had an auto warranty for your vehicle and then it ran out, but you wanted a new warranty that works just like that one, this extended warranty might be for you. Check Agape Auto Warranties auto service contract for details.

Get an Instant Warranty Quote!

National Auto Guardian offers many similiar things that other auto warranty companies do. An interesting part of what maybe makes this company different is how they are backed by publicly traded insurance companies. This is a good thing in our opinion, since you will always have a large company backing up your auto warranty. It can be likened to the Federal Government backing up your local bank – so if they go under, your money is still insured. Do refer to the auto service agreement with National Auto Guardian for the details on this!

Auto repair insurance is another way to term what this company is offering in their auto service agreement. According to the National Auto Guardian website, they offer 24 hour a day roadside assistance. This usually means that the cost of a rental car AND the tow for your automobile will be covered by the warranty, but again, you must check the auto service contract for specifics.

The auto warranty company also mentions that you are getting WHOLESALE prices. Now, this is something that may or may not be entirely true. We will be calling them for more information on this “wholesale pricing”. To get a quote for your auto warranty – just use the form on the right, or call 877.298.0064

Ok, this site, just like anyother 1994-ish looking website, makes me feel a little uneasy. Sure, they have a couple of graphical badges in the side bar of the page that are supposed to make the site look safe and secure, but it just doesn’t work for me.

I think that an auto warranty company needs to provide a secure feeling to it’s customers. Any how, the site autorepairwarranty.com has obviously been around a while. I found them using Google, in the sponsored search results, when I searched for auto warranty. This leads me to believe that they are in fact still in business and looking to find more customers. However, if I had found this site in the natral results in Google, I would have thought they were long out of business with the poorly designed site.

They offer Bumper to Bumper coverage on most US and foreign automobiles that fall within the years they are currently offering auto service contracts on. The power train warranty is pretty standard, and might include oil changes – refer to the contract or ask the Auto Repair Warranty rep to see if this is offered.

The testimonials section of their site seems to be valid. The quote is so long though! In comparison to the quote system we offer on the right hand side of our site (3 questions – talk live for a few minutes – done!).

One aspect of their coverage that we are looking into is the road side service portion. In any extended auto warranty contract, you really have to look carefully at the road side assistance portion to see how far you can be towed; many companies limit this cost to 100 miles. In most situations, that should be just fine.

If you have an extended auto warranty with autorepairwarranty.com, please let us know what you think about them using the area below!

Here is a trend I see coming, as evidenced by Service Protection Advisors (www.serviceprotectionadvisors.com); Automobile Repair Insurance. That is what they term the extended warranty they are selling. It makes sense – like we always tell people, an extended warranty for your car is just as important as car insurance in many ways. It protects you from huge costs as a lump sum when something goes wrong with your automobile.

This company does indeed offer powertrain care, which most auto warranty companies seem to do these days. A powertrain warranty must be carefully looked at to make sure that what is included is really what’s important. Read more about power train warranties in our FAQ section.

Do you have a warranty with Service Protection Advisors? Please let us know your experience with this auto warranty service, or automobile repair insurance as they call it!

On a side note, we are taking every opportunity to let people know that soon all extended warranties for used vehicles will be known as Auto Service Contracts or Agreements. Hopefully this will push aside any confusion a few months down the line, when people are looking for auto warranties but can only find service contracts for vehicles!

Many people have asked about a warranty for a car bought from a used car dealership. Here’s the low down. Most cars are in fact eligible for an auto warranty – and you can tell this by a certain piece of information that any used car must have. This is the piece of paper that hangs in the window of the used car that gives details about it.

Some of the used cars will say “Warranty Available.” In this scenario, the dealer will work as an independent agent for the car warranty company, and will be able to offer you an honest to goodness warranty for the used vehicle.

Some used cars, on the other hand, are not able to have a warranty. These cars will be identified in the used car dealers lot with the words “As Is – NO WARRANTY”. Now, from our point of view, the guy in the picture above might focus on selling used vehicles with no warranty available, if you catch our drift!

If you are buying a used car, it is our opinion that only a used vehicle with a warranty available should be considered. Here is some more information from the Federal Trade Commission website about used vehicle auto warranties:

Used Cars: Warranty Protection

When shopping for a used car, look for a Buyer’s Guide sticker posted on the car’s side window. This sticker is required by the FTC on all used cars sold by dealers. It tells whether a service contract is available. It also indicates whether the vehicle is being sold with a warranty, with implied warranties only, or “as is.”

As defined by the Federal Trade Commission, an auto warranty is something that is only sold with a new car. A car warranty is bought at the time of sale for the new automobile. If a warranty is sold after the car has left the dealers lot and is no longer new – it is no longer an auto warranty but an Auto Service Contract. What is the big difference between these two? Well, it’s really just a matter of wording.

If you are looking to buy an extended auto warranty, you should go into it knowing that the warranty is actually an auto service contract. I found a great article all about the clear definition of an auto service contract at the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) website. Here is a brief synopsis of how they differentiate an auto warranty from an automotive service contract.

The Auto Service Contract

A service contract is a promise to perform (or pay for) certain repairs or services. Sometimes called an “extended warranty,” a service contract is not a warranty as defined by federal law. A service contract may be arranged at any time and always costs extra; a warranty comes with a new car and is included in the original price.
The separate and additional cost distinguishes a service contract from a warranty.

Here’s how you can obtain a car service agreement (another way to word this) for your automobile that works just like how most people imagine a warranty works. First off, get a quote from a company you trust. You can use the quote form on the right to get a quote right now so you have an idea of how much a warranty for your auto should cost. If you like the price – you have the option of buying it right from our live rep that helped you get the quote for the auto service contract – fast & free!

www.DirectBuyWarranty.com – 1.888.865.4484

Direct Buy Warranty has been the first company to receive our prestigious “Top Rated Use” & “Recommended Best Buy” awards!

For sometime now Direct Buy Warranty has consistently received great reviews, from covered claims to just having a friendly service department that is fun to talk to, and can offer great packages for your specific car.

Trust & Creditability are the two biggest factors in deciding what company to go with. I have had the chance to speak Direct Buy Warranty Customer Service & Claims Supervisor James McDermit about what they do best for their customers. He said “Consumers want to be able to rely on a product they purchased. They Want to feel satisfied in how their account is being handled which in turn will translate into great satisfaction. As company we feel it is important for the customer to know what is and what is not covered before they buy, That is why we post our Terms and Conditions on every page of our web site.”

Direct Buy Warranty takes the approach of a Year, Make, Model & Mileage to estimate how much a service contract will cost for your vehicle.

AWR Readers – special discount!
Right now Direct Buy Warranty is running a current special on all policies no matter the vehicles age or mileage.

USE PROMOTIONAL CODE: AWR

Are you a Direct Buy Warranty Customer? AutomotiveWarrantyReview.com wants to know what you think! Good or bad – take a moment to let our readers know how Direct Buy Warranty stacks up in your opinion.

James McDermit of Direct Buy was notified of the great ratings that Direct Buy received. His response was “We thank our customers for giving us such a great rating. We honored to have been giving you Peace of Mind. “ Thanks James!

This company is indeed a reseller of extended warranties. It’s important to examine the affiliations that different extended warranty companies have in order to determine if they are able to offer the best price possible for your auto warranty.

Let’s examine www.fordespwarranty.com ESP Warranty – they offer a few levels of service – maybe even fleet protection for certain customers – but do they deal with another company for the underwriting of the warranty?

There is absolutely no problem with this set up, as in this situation the main vendor would not be able to offer a better deal based on agreements made with the smaller company, such as ESP warranty. But, there is always the possibility for additional mark up by the last man in the channel so to speak. An auto warranty company is a business, looking to make the most money they can, so research is extremely important when making your decision.

There website seems to be pretty informative and helpful. I’ve been able to gather lots of information about the different extended car warranties they offer; they also have a compare chart to show what they offer compared to other car warranty companies. Look at the ESP Auto Warranty site for more details.

Try a direct warranty instead – use the form at the right to get a quote and you’ll see the huge savings that can be had – or just call 877.298.0064.

These guys just recently popped up on the scene. We haven’t had any reviews of them, good or bad, but the prices seem a little bit higher than many of the other extended warranty companies. Remember, what a company lacks in one area – they must make up for in another.

Their website looks professional, but honestly I could not find any relevant information on what exactly they offer in terms of extended car warranties. I wanted to contact them about a misspelling on their front page that was very blatant, but the only way to contact them was through their contact form for getting a quote. Please let us know if you have had any success with this company, or not!

We are very interested in any one that has had contact with the customer service team over at Protection Direct Auto Warranties. Leave a review below

Here is a site that seems to be advertising heavily these days. The site design is sort of old school – which always damages a companies image. Have you had an experience with www.warrantydeals.com? Leave us a review below.

The site offers extended vehicle warranties for a wide selection of vehicles. There is not too much useful information available on the site; basically they will find a car warranty that will fit your needs, but I could not find anything that mentioned price ranges or different plans. In order to get information about an extended car warranty for your make and model you need to fill out a contact form. The buyers guide is a decent resource, though the one found on this site is actually much more in depth.

I realized today that around 3,000 people per month were searching Google for the term auto warrenty! I realize that spelling correctly is sometimes overlooked when you are rushing around, researching a topic such as buying an auto service contract (auto warranty), so I decided to try and help out these misspelling searchers by writing this article about the misspellings I’ve seen. The number one misspelled term is auto warrenty. The second most searched term is auto warrenties.

So if you are looking for an auto warrenty, why don’t you let me direct you to an Auto Warranty! If you are looking for a quote, just use the red form on the right hand side to submit your info – just 3 questions will get you a quote for your new or used vehicle auto service agreement!

These guys have always bugged me. They have no class – and selling something like an auto warranty requires TRUST. I called up one day to get the scoop on their services and was placed on hold for over ten minutes while the rep had a conversation on here cell phone! No kidding! So, why did I sit on hold for ten minutes with Gorilla Auto warranty or warranties4wheels.com or whatever they call themselves – because I had to bring the news of their service to YOU – the person reading this article right now.

So if you have used Gorilla Auto Warranty and just love their service – let me know! I’d love to be wrong about these guys, but for now, they get a huge THUMBS DOWN from AWR.

Automotive Warranty Review Does NOT Recommend this Car Warranty Company

Update from the US Fidelis site:

US Fidelis, Inc. announced today, March 1, 2010 that it filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11, Title 11 of the United States Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Well, another one bites the dust! We had so many complaints about this car warranty company that it honestly makes it hard to even keep their logo up on our site. So that’s it for US Fidelis auto warranty I suppose…

Old Review

US Fidelis has been in business for a number of years. The name “US Fidelis” started being used just a few years ago. Some people report the name change was due to a high profile law suit that greatly tarred the auto warranty company’s reputation. US Fidelis offers several levels of service, just like many of the other service contract companies out there. So how does the process work? US Fidelis handles it like this…

If a person files a claim with them, the process works out sort of like this. Let’s say you pay US Fidelis $120 per month for your auto warranty (just a random figure – not representative of the actual cost of the warranty) and all of a sudden you have an alternator that breaks down on you. You take the car to the shop, and give ol’ US Fidelis a call. The mechanic can of course call the company as well. If the alternator for your car is $600, according to the auto repair shop, US Fidelis is now on the hook to pay that amount. They will call around to other shops and find out what the cost for that part is at other local car repair shops.

If US Fidelis finds it for cheaper than $600 – you have two choices.

1. You can cruise over to the new auto repair shop
2. You can pay the difference

I’ve seen many examples of US Fidelis paying for customer repairs, resulting in a satisfying customer experience. I’ve also see some people really get mad at the auto warranty company for what might be called “delaying the game”, and taking a long time to pay the mechanic. Recently there has been lots of bad press about US Fidelis and it looks like nothing but trouble for them. Turns out there has been law suit after law suit as well as layoffs while. This car warranty company will probably not be around much longer.

What has your experience been with US FIdelis?

1CarWarranty.com is an extended auto warranty company that offers 3 levels of support for your car or truck. The beginning program is called the Power Train Only, and is pretty much what it sounds like. For $650, the extended auto warranty will cover power train related issues. It can really be thought of as a simple power train warranty for any mileage or year car or truck.

The next step up on the 1carwarranty.com site is the Powertrain Plus auto warranty. This costs $950 and can be used in a few different ways. You can choose for the warranty to be good for 3 years and have unlimited miles during that time, or use the car warranty for 5 years or 7 years, but have your mileage limited.

The flagship extended auto warranty that 1carwarranty.com provides is the Power Train Platinum. This auto warranty is $1100 no matter what the car or truck you have, or any miles. From our experience with auto warranties, that is a pretty good price. It is good to the degree that we are a little suspect of it. Really, any car with any mileage? Well why don’t I just dust off my 1967 Chevy, get a warranty, and tow it to the auto shop to be completely rebuilt for just $1100! I’ll try to get some clarity to this deal, but for now, you might just want to use the form on the right of our site here to get a quick and easy auto warranty quote that is for your specific year vehicle.
